Young Architects Series:
Zaha Hadid – Queen of the Curve

Sat, Apr 2, 2022

During her lifetime the Iraqi-born architect Zaha Hadid, who practiced in London, won many international awards and became the best-known female architect in the world. She designed distinctive free-form buildings from museums to skyscrapers that earned her the nickname "Queen of the curve!" Launching our Young Architects Series, we’ll learn about Zaha through the read-aloud of The World is Not a Rectangle: A Portrait of Architect Zaha Hadid by Jeanette Winter. Then using natural forms for inspiration we'll build a model without using any straight lines. Are you up for the challenge? All ages welcome. RSVP required.
