Celebrate creativity on Folklore Day at the museum with a hands-on family program that explores how buildings tell stories! Young story-tellers will discover how architecture reflects culture, history, and imagination, then design their own folklore story-inspired building. Through drawing, observation, and creative writing, families will build visual literacy and communication skills while bringing their ideas to life.
This is an in-person children’s program that meets at the Skyscraper Museum, 39 Battery Pl. Programs are designed for children ages 3-10 years old. You must reserve a place for your child/family by clicking the “RSVP” button above. This will redirect you to the event page on TicketStripe where you can reserve your spots. Every child should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Family programs are free! Reservation priority is given to The Skyscraper Museum members. Want to become a member? Winter programs are supported by a Community Partnership with the Battery Park City Authority.
