SUPERTALL 2021 was a long time in gestation. Originally planned for spring 2020, and debuted first as the virtual exhibition SUPERTALL! 2020, the current show shifted in focus as a result of the contributions of the architects, engineers, and construction professionals of the featured towers. In the Museum’s 2021 lecture series WORLD VIEW, the architect or engineer who led the team designing or constructing those buildings presented a detailed lecture on the project. Those talks can be accessed in the gallery by scanning the QR codes and comprise more than thirteen hours of insights into the genesis and execution of those complex structures.

For their experience and expertise, we thank Ahmad Abdelrazaq, Bill Baker, Fred Clarke, Scott Duncan, Karl Fender, Brian Lee, Dennis Poon, Mark Sarkisian, Robert Sinn, Adrian Smith, Jamie von Klemperer, Peter Weismantle, and Robert Whitlock. In an earlier series, Gregg Pasquarelli and Rafael Vinoly gave talks on their New York supertalls, 111 W57 and 432 Park Avenue.

The Skyscraper Museum would like to thank the many individuals, firms, and institutions who assisted our research and who facilitated the loan of models and acquisition of drawing and photography. Special thanks go to KPF, SOM, AS+GG, Pelli Clarke Pelli, Fender Katsalidis, SHoP, Rafael Vinoly Architects, Thornton Tomasetti, and Samsung C&T and SawTeen See.
