Wuhan Center Tower

Wuhan, China

Located in the southwest corner of Wuhan’s Central Business District, Wuhan Center Tower is closely connected with the city’s public facilities. It is situated in a beautifully landscaped site adjacent to Mengze Lake in Wuhan, a city of 7.9 million, that is the capital of Central China’s Hubei province.

With a height 438 m., Wuhan Center Tower’s 88 stories include office space, a global conference center, a luxury hotel, and a 360° observation deck. The advanced façade is composed of 10,935 pieces of curved glass panels that maximize sun exposure and minimize energy consumption. Each glass panel can be opened and closed independently to ventilate the building. The office space is also equipped with a monitoring system that automatically delivers fresh air and a geothermal pump that can adjust the air temperature in the building using groundwater; rainwater can also be recycled and reused through the façade system.
