Princess Tower

Located on the Southeast coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai, the largest and most populous city of the seven United Arab Emirates (UAE), has a population of more than 3 million and is the major business hub of the Middle East. Dubai developers have embraced skyscrapers to put their city on the map, not only with the Burj Khalifa, the current world’s tallest building, but with clusters of supertalls, such as Dubai Marina. Princess Tower belongs to a group of towers crowded onto the “world’s tallest block.”

Its shaft, like its several sibling towers in Dubai Marina, is slender and rises straight up to a decorated crown. Each floor contains up to 10 apartments, with a total of more than 760 units. There is an observation deck under the crown of the building. The dome and spire light up different colors at night, as do those of its neighbors, creating a distinct profile both day and night.
