Guiyang WTC Tower

Guiyang, China

Guiyang World Trade Center Tower is the centerpiece of a highly dense development of twenty-one buildings in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province with a population of over 3 million. The pedestrian-friendly development consists of high-rise and low-rise buildings that extend from the mountain of the east side to Nanming river of the west side, and imitates the terraced landscape, vividly integrating with its beautiful natural surroundings.

Rising 380 meters /1247 feet from the ground, the landmark tower combines commercial office space with a hotel, a shopping center on the north side and multi-level facilities for conferences and events on the south side. Located between the mountainous landscape and the river, the iconic skyscraper links the two ends with a meandering pedestrian path in village scale, including a park, an aquarium, scattering pavilions as well as a boutique hotel. The terraced buildings and the multifaceted park celebrate Guiyang’s heritage of mountain villages while offering great views of the city.
