Guiyang, China
Guiyang International Financial Center is a twin-towers development unveiled in October 2014, in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province. As of 2016, its population in the urban districts was 3,483,100. The development hopes to gather top companies of local and abroad banking, insurance, security and trust industry to build a financial market center as well as a financial backstage service center in Guiyang.
The tower houses a variety of programs for users in the center, including office space, a hotel, ballroom, restaurants, sky lobbies, and wedding plazas. Hotel and banquet spaces are located on the 1st to the 40th floors; office space is on the floors above the hotels.
The structural system is a reinforced concrete frame-core tube structure with high-level transformation. For seismic performance, an earthquake-resistant joint is placed between Building 1 and its podium to divide the building into two separate structural units. All the conditions of the project are cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor systems, which is the highest all-reinforced concrete building in China.
