DOWNTOWN NEW YORK: THE ARCHITECTURE OF BUSINESS/ THE BUSINESS OF BUILDINGS
The exhibition at 44 Wall Street illustrated the museum's mission and perspective, which expands the traditional interpretation of skyscrapers as objects of architectural design, products of technological innovation, and icons of corporate culture, viewing them also in their urban context as investments in real estate, sites of construction, and places of work. The show ran through December 1997 and was by viewed by some 20,000 visitors.
